We have another issue of the ANSE Journal dedicated to the Summer University of Supervision, held last August in Munich under the title “An ocean of possibilities”. As you may have noticed, the title of Summer University has the singular - possibility, as the saying goes. However, during the preparation of the Journal, we made a mistake and the singular became plural - possibilities, hence the difference between the title of the journal and the title of the conference. Coincidence or slip of the tongue, this mistake was made under the impression of the diversity and richness of the texts, experiences and ideas that the participants of the Summer University left us as a legacy.
By this I do not mean only the authors of the texts, but also the participants of the workshops who, with their presence, changed, added, problematized and contributed to the creative atmosphere of the entire conference and contributed to the co-creation of the knowledge. As you will see in the articles, during the workshops, and then also while writing about the workshops, many authors reflected on this very process of reciprocity.
It seemed to me that “being present” is an important testimony to the creation of new knowledge about supervision and coaching, and how I would really like all those who are in education on becoming supervisors and coaches to, at least once, have the opportunity to “be present” in such a process, because it leaves a mark on our professional beings, as experts, supervisors, coaches and as people.
Therefore, let’s leave the plural, let it work, let the ocean take it to the most remote regions and areas, to all those who conduct, participate in supervision and coaching or follow with interest the “rich life in the ocean”.
